Fortnite World Cup 2019Fortnite World Cup 2019

The Fortnite World Cup has wrapped up the solo competition in Week 9. Some of the same players continued their amazing performances, and other players earned their spot in New York City for the World Cup Final. As the qualifiers come to an end, players made the most of it. All of the top players deserve credit for their hard work and effort during this event.

Epic Games believes that too. That’s why the prize pool for Week 9 and Week 10 are doubled. Epic Games will give away $2 million each week.

Endretta takes first place and never lets go

Endretta showed his skill in Week 9 of qualifiers. Through five games, the player managed to put up 64 points. That alone would be enough to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup in the EU region. Endretta took first place after back-to-back wins to start the competition. His dominance continued throughout the remaining games. He finished first overall in the EU region with 70 points.

Clix, clarityG, and UnknownxArmy end solo competition with a statement

The top three players in NA East all qualified for the World Cup in previous weeks. Cody “Clix” Conrod made Week 9 his fifth week of qualification. Through the qualification stages, Clix has been one of the most consistent players. The only other player in the region that compares is Dubs.

Dominick “UnknownxArmy” Green, also known as KNG Unknown, qualified back in Week 3. He took a couple of weeks to play around with a mouse and keyboard but did not like the results. He went back to using a controller and showed he lost nothing in that time. Another player, Shawn “clarityG” Washington, qualified back in Week 7 and continued his impressive play. His efforts came together at the right time to allow him to qualify in back-to-back weeks.

Week 9 completes the World Cup Online Open Solos. Next week, Week 10 is the final week for all qualifiers. The World Cup Finals take place on July 26 to 28 in New York City. The gameplay and strategy remained similar to previous weeks. Some players complain of griefing, but that happens every week. In a game as random as Fortnite, the actions of players are unpredictable.
