The annoying Fortnite pickaxe bug causing weak points not to register is set to be fixed in the next Fortnite patch.
It’s no secret that Fortnite v11.50 was littered with bugs. Downed players were falling through the map, boats were dropping through the map, and console players were having trouble hitting weak points while farming.
The former two issues took top priority since they affected everyone and could truly cost you a game. Unfortunately, console players have had to deal with one of the most aggravating bugs in the history of Fortnite since v11.50.
We have released a hotfix to heavily reduce instances of Boats falling through the map. We will continue to address this as part of our tracking of issues related to the new physics system. https://t.co/NbQdnw4BDK

Weak points while farming are not registering for console players. On its surface, this bug might not seem like the end of the world. For those who experience it, though, it is truly rage-inducing.
Farming in Fortnite now takes twice as long for console players. Not only that but breaking through an opponent’s structure now takes an extra swing, which can be the difference between life and death.
Thankfully, Epic has a fix for this issue. The bad news is that we’ll have to wait for the next patch. There’s a chance that we see a patch this week, but it’s probably more likely that we’ll have to wait until Season 2 comes out on February 20.
I play on Xbox and have been dealing with this bug every time I play. In my experience, it’s making me infinitely saltier. I get angrier with my teammates, enemies, and the game itself. This might be the worst bug I’ve ever experienced.
For now, all we can do is wait and cross our fingers that an update comes this week. Epic is aware of the issue, so there’s no use in complaining about it on social media. That’s not going to stop us, though.
