Fortnite Season 5 is adding even more exotic weapons that will increase/decrease players’ mobility and help players heal in an explosive way.

As Season 5 of Fortnite continues, more exotic weapons are making their way into the mix, and the next wave of exotics will focus on player mobility and healing. Exotic weapons in previous seasons have focused on increased damage output, but Fortnite Season 5 is making sure each exotic weapon adds something special to spice up a player’s gameplay.

Fortnite Chapter 2 has seen the addition of exotic weaponry. When first introduced in Season 2, players would have to take down mini-bosses held up in strongholds. The exotic weapons weren’t anything more than normal weapons with slightly higher damage. During Season 4, the exotic weapons were replaced with superpowers that emulated those of famous Marvel heroes. These could be obtained by beating bosses or visiting special drop points. Now, Season 5 has added even more flair to exotic weapons giving each one a bit more personality.

According to notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, there will be three new exotic weapons added to the game which focus on mobility and healing. The first of which is the Run Gun SMG which is a normal sub-machine gun that increases the player’s movement speed when held. The second is called the Freeze AR which is an assault rifle that turns players’ feet into ice cubes making them slide. This is the same effect given by The Big Chill and Snowy Floppers. The third is known as the Slurp Bazooka, and it will likely be a rocket launcher that shoots explosive rounds that produce healing liquid in an area of effect.

Upcoming Exotic Weapons:

– Run Gun SMG: increases your running/walking speed (i had a footage with @ximton but i deleted it and i’m too lazy to record it again)
– Freeze AR: gives chiller trap effect to other players
– Slurp Bazooka: maybe scrapped

These will likely be implemented the same way as other Season 5 exotics. A new or existing NPC will gain the ability to sell players these exotic weapons for roughly 1,200 gold bars. It would make sense for the Slurp Bazooka to be sold by Ripley at Slurpy Swamp. The Freeze AR could be found at the top of the map’s snowy mountains. As for the Run Gun, that could wind up anywhere. It also remains unknown when these will be implemented in the game, but it could be as soon as the next big update.

Fortnite’s new exotic weapons are what the game has been missing for a long time. They allow Fortnite to not take itself as seriously as it has in the past. There are sniper rifles that shoot fire and grenades, grenade launchers that shoot snowballs, and shotguns that launch players. These little additions make Fortnite a lot of fun for casual players, and hopefully, Epic Games continues to add these wacky weapons.
