This Fortnite LTM concept is a fresh new take on the game that we all love.

Fortnite is nearly unrecognizable from Chapter 1 Season 1. Not only are we on a new map, but the mechanics of the game have completely transformed over the course of the past two years.

There has been an immeasurable number of LTM concepts from fans over that time as well. This one from u/kaiiori813 might be the most creative of the bunch.

The concept makes Fortnite a fantasy RPG battle royale, similar to what we saw from the Spellbreak previews. The latter game is set to come out in 2020. If Fortnite made this LTM, though, Spellbreak would have some stiff competition.

Each Fortnite weapon would have a unique ability, letting players shoot ice bolts, fire blasts, and much more. The exact abilities could use some refining, but the overall idea of the LTM is a winner.

Will this ever come to the game? Probably not, but this idea brings to mind the comments made by Epic Games CEO, Tim Sweeney, in late December.

Fortnite is a game. But please ask that question again in 12 months.

Sweeney alluded to the fact that we’d be getting more powerful Creative Mode tools in the future, which would potentially allow players to create their own games within the Fortnite universe.

If true, this shift could allow creators to modify Fortnite – similar to what we’ve seen with Arma 3 mods in the past. Two of these mods later turned into the massive games DayZ and PUBG.

We can only hope that a mode like this will come to fruition in the future. There’s already a market for an ability-based BR, and Fortnite would be the perfect place to start.
