Rudrapur: A man in his fifties from Alliance Colony in Udham Singh Nagar approached police on Saturday, accusing his minor son of assaulting him after he scolded the latter for playing PUBG.
The victim, in a verbal complaint to police, said that the boy, along with his maternal uncle, had thrashed him. He demanded punishment for both.
According to Satnam Chopra, a cloth merchant in the city, his son, a B.Tech student, is addicted to the online multiplayer game and it got in the way of his studies. When stopped from playing PUBG, the boy summoned his maternal uncle and attacked and injured Chopra.
