It’s that time of the year again when some cool goodies are up for grabs as Fortnite players immerse themselves in all things spooky.
Halloween has well and truly arrived in Fortnite and lots of changes, including flying brooms, candy and haunting ghouls.
Don’t be fooled though, the gameplay itself is onto a winner, but fans aren’t happy with the current solos, duos and squads setup when it comes to the win counter.
Instead of the usually Limited Time Match gamemode players find themselves waiting for a hard earned Victory Royale – or a Nightmare Royale.
The latter is when you die in the Battle Royale you get reincarnated as a ghoul to seek revenge on the enemy.
However, despite early reports suggesting a victory to your game count, it has proved that even a Victory Royale or Nightmare Royal goes towards your LTM account – not gamer’s solo, duo or squad stats.
The only way players can successfully claim a VR to their beloved stats is to play Arena solos or trios.
One gamer said: “Same here! I got two VR this morning and my stats were not updated.”
Another Sxopes said: “Just play arena. It’s only bots in regular solos. There’s no Fortnitemares.”
The previous Fortnitemares events added zombies and the chance to take down a giant monster, so Fortnite creators Epic wanted to push the boat out this time around.
This year’s Fortnitemares event takes place until November 3 – so you still have some time left to get your ghost on.
The game is also celebrating Halloween night by featuring an in-game virtual concert from reggaeton star J Balvin.
